Join us for the very first Container Developer Summit: an exciting half day of talks, an interactive workshop and virtual networking with speakers from Codefresh, Â NeuVector, IBM and others.
Free and open to all - come and learn about Kubernetes, Istio, Red Hat OpenShift, microservices, Containers in the enterprise, and what is the future of containerized infrastructure. Bring your questions and curiosity for learning.
The Operator Framework combines Red Hat's latest best-practices for development, installation, and management of K8s platform extensions and enhancements. This talk covers architectural overviews, development notes, and a look at a few popular solutions from this space. Come learn "why, when, and how" to get started!
Major efforts went in to Istio over the last year which focused on seamless experience to adopt, performance and scalability for massive workloads, smooth upgrades and powerful extensibility. This session will provide an overview of the new features and a glimpse into what's coming.
The presentation is followed by a panel discussion with:
- Ram Vennam, Developer Advocate, IBM
- Lin Sun, Senior Technical Staff Member, Istio, IBM
- Mofi Rahman, Developer Advocate, IBM
Moderator: Dave Nugent
This interactive workshop will guide you through Red Hat OpenShift, a family of containerization software developed by Red Hat. Its flagship product is the OpenShift Container Platform-an on-premises platform as a service built around Docker containers orchestrated and managed by Kubernetes on a foundation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The Openshift UI has various functionalities, allowing one to monitor the container resources, container health, the nodes the containers reside on, IP addresses of the nodes, etc.

One of the most aspirational yet sparingly applied aspects of DevOps and DevSecOps is Security as Code. Most development teams are aware that integrating security within their SDLC needs to be more than just shifting security scans to the left. Yet, the majority do little more than scanning in their CI/CD pipelines because it is extremely difficult to automate security policies in rapidly changing ephemeral environments. Join NeuVector’s Solution Engineer, Tracy Walker, as he demonstrates the ease and benefits of fully automating Security as Code for Kubernetes using NeuVector.
As the entire global economy reels, having a business case for DevOps is more important than ever! The software development loop is, without question, the most critical component of any business and yet it can sometimes be difficult to get everyone to prioritize it. In this talk, we’ll look at several case studies from major companies and how they became more competitive and more reliable to beat out competitors.
We’ll provide tools to calculate cost savings and investment for investments into DevOps including personnel, CI/CD, monitoring, and more. Everyone cares about DevOps when features can’t be delivered or services fail due to unexpected circumstances. We’ll show you how to avoid the pitfalls of reactive DevOps in 2020. Then, instead of painful retrospectives about the investment that should have been made, you can celebrate what a good job you’ve done.
